New Year Day At The Buddhapadipa

Written by Dhammacaro on 01/10/2009

It would not be too late to say Happy New Year. It is the year of the cow which is a sign of hard work as cows work very hard on the farm. There have been signs so far, for example, bankrupt, credit crunch, joblessness, shops closed down etc. But that arises of its own accord if we think it over. Things arise as their causes; we, human beings, experience the ups and downs through out our life. Whatever is happening, don’t worry too much; just observe it.

The Buddhapadipa temple is side by side with people; even if life is ups and downs. On the good occasion, new year, the 1st of January the temple held the meritorious activity to welcome new year and give blessings to people.

The day was full of good activities such as blessings, teachings, meditation, donations etc. and a lot of people joined the activity. Everyone enjoyed themselves from the beginning of the day until the end of the day.

Happy New Year
