Crematorium Multi Faith Memorial Day At Putney Vale 08
It was a good day as was last year at Memorial Day. There were many people who joined the event. It is some kind of sharing, expression and dedication which at least once a year, people can join to recall their beloved ones who passed away.
Death, life, loss, and how to cope with bereavement were spoken by many faiths representatives, Methodist Mission, Imam, Rabbi, Sikh, Buddhist, Holy Trinity and after speech, there was reading of those wishing to be remembered, and two minute silence. The candles of memory lit in remembrance of loved ones which regarded as the end of ceremony.
The candles’ light finished, but the light of love and good relationship has still been shown in the hearts of those who participated in the ceremony. Death is unavoidable and it is the destination of every living being. We all know about that as from time to time, there are some kinds of warnings such as sickness, old age etc. if we live a life carefully. It is said that destination of life (death) is not as important as a journey (here now). Therefore, what we must do now is to take care of and have responsibility for each other and love each other so that we can live together in peace and harmony here and now.
