Funeral Service

Today I accompanied PK Lom to perform memorial service for a Thai man, Mr. Vashira, who died on the plane, just the way back home to Thailand. All family, relatives and friends gathered to listen to the chanting dedicated to him.

May he be blessed, well and happy in his realm.

To hear about death is not new, but every time we hear of it, we feel sad and sorry. ‘Death’ is a scary word for most people, but what can we do, but just restrain our mind. Through our life, we have many lessons about how things change, we should at least realise one truth about existence: that everyone who is born must some day die, and that there are no exceptions to this rule. So when people die, whether a member of our family or not, he or she is not the first one in the world to die. There were numerous others before them, and there will continue to be numerous others after them. Life is like that, beginning with birth and ending in death.

Learn the truth, understand it and accept it. Life will be happy and peaceful.
