Invitation To Tender – Work Package For Paving Replacement, And Enhancement Of Ponds & Habitat Creation For Great Crested Newts
Introduction
The Buddhapadipa Temple, London, intends to carry out repair and maintenance works on existing structures and landscape within the Temple grounds which are located within a conservation area. The Temple itself is listed building.
There are two proposed projects which the Temple wishes to tender as one work package: Project A: Paving Replacement and Project B: Enhancement of Ponds & Habitat Creation for Great Crested Newts.
For Project A the main works are to replace the existing marble steps and paving surrounding the main Temple hall, existing lower concrete steps, slabs and kerbing with granite units. Project B involves maintenance and improvement of Temple ponds and improving habitat conditions for great crested newts within the Temple’s grounds. There are three ponds: the large pond is situated on the east side of the main Temple hall and runs along the western boundary of the site. Two small ornamental ponds are located to the north of the larger pond.

The Buddhapadipa Temple is pleased to inform you that you are invited to take part in the open tender procedure for the above contract as one work package. This tender adheres to the supplementary terms and conditions applicable to the Minor Works Building Contract with contractor’s design, Revision 2 2009 (MWD) (JCT Contracts, 2009).
The initial expression of interest, requests for clarification and enquiries about the technical aspects of the work should be submitted to us by email to teerayuth_n@hotmail.com with copy to narinwong@hotmail.com and sirinath.jamieson@live.co.uk. In order to maintain transparency and equality, all queries, unless commercially confidential, asked by, and answers given to, individual tenderers will be recorded and circulated in an anonymised form to all bidders. The deadline for final questions will be Tuesday 1st March 2011 to enable bidders to consider any additional information before finalising their proposals.

Late tenders, emailed or faxed tenders will not be considered.
