The Thai Culture Day

On 12th June, PK Lom with 2 monks was invited to join the Thai culture Day at Chester Beatty Library in Dublin. That was colourful day and full of good activities for Irish people to learn to know about Thailand. The activities started with an introduction speech made by His Excellency, the Thai Ambassador, followed by a Dhamma talk, introduction to Buddhism, PK Lom.

After that there was a classical Thai dancing by Thai Dancing Academic, London. The people who joined the event were happy, especially Thai boys and girls who are adopted; they can learn and see Thai culture with their eyes. This is a right thing for them to see and hear, so that they can be reminded of Thailand where they come from and it is not late for them to forget. It is a good chance for them to be adopted as they have a new life. The family takes a good care for them. This is reminded of a word ‘family’ which stands for:

F=father

A=and

M=mother

I= I

L= love

Y= you
